We’re looking for a full time Data entry specialist to help us develop a database for a new tool that is coming out.
Through instructions, you’ll be able to enter the right specifications for certain weapons, accessories, and more, into our database. This database will be used to help provide the right needs for our customers based on what weapons they are using.
We’re looking to input every scope, ring, base, mount and lens cap into our system so that our software can find the right combination to help people mount their scope to their rifle.

What Does Being a Gun University Data Entry Specialist Entail?
As a Data Entry Specialist, you’ll be able to work from home and fill our database with all the different specifications of weapons, accessories and more.
You’ll work to ensure the information is as accurate as possible and help to ensure our database is clean.
Requirements of the Position:
- Expected Number of Hours: 40 hours per week
- One meeting a week with team to review progress and receive training
Roles of the Job:
- Add new products to the database
- Ensure all specifications are correct
- Make corrections as support tickets come in
- Manage communications and investigate issues
Intended range of Pay: $2400-$4000 ($15-$25/hr)
Recommended Training or Experience:
For this position, there is no required training or experience. However, we are looking for someone who has an appreciation for weapons and is familiar with their specifications. Furthermore, it will be beneficial to have an in-depth knowledge on how to mount a scope to a rifle and all the steps that go into it – this is because our first major project will center on scope rings.

What a Day in the Life Would Look Like
So, what would doing a position like this feel like? Well, here is an example:
You wake up, and brew yourself a fresh cup of coffee. Once ready, you sit down at the time you decided. Opening up our database dashboard, you remember that you were last working on adding scope rings to our database. You start by going through scope rings listed on certain market like Optics Planet. Checking each one, you enter their name, and specifications into the database.
After doing this for a bit, you see that there is a message from a user of one of our tools saying there is an issue with one of the scopes we listed. Checking it out in the database, you see what the problem is and fix it. Sending a response back to the person, letting them know it was fixed, you now move on to adding more rifles to the database. This one is a bit trickier, but luckily you had some great training by our team and start to pair the rifles to the right systems.
Since it is the one day of the week for meeting with our team, you prepare your report showing how many of what items you added, and also have a list of questions you have developed over the week.
Once that meeting is complete, you call it a day. Sounds like a good way to make extra money while at home?
